JOB DESCRIPTION
- To render medical services to the client at the affiliated emergency unit with respect, diligence, professionalism and integrity and in accordance to this contract between MD Inc and the independent medical practitioner.
- To personally honour all shifts chosen.
- To manage the patients admitted under EC when on day duty.
- Review recent blood results, culture results, X-rays etc.
- To be available for 2nd on call duties on the roster when the need arises.
- To attend all the CME activities arranged by MD Inc for its employees and to remain current in the official advanced life support courses and topics relating to emergency medicine.
REQUIREMENTS
- Start Date: ASAP
- Registered with the HPCSA as an independent medical Practitioner
- MBChB qualification
- Must have Emergency Medicine related course such as ATLS, ACLS, APLS/PALS
- Malpractice Insurance which covers Accident and Emergency in Private Practice. MPS Preferably.
- DipPEC qualification coupled with 3 up-to-date Advanced Life Support Courses (advantageous)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- To work at least a minimum of 150 hrs a month, which will comprise of at least 2 weekends
- Locum rates for hours worked in excess of contractual hours
- Medical Aid Benefit for main member equivalent to Discovery Coastal Saver Plan
